458 Yishun Ave 11

In this Yishun home, our designer emphasis natural tones. This living room exudes calm simplicity, anchored by a plush, light-toned sectional sofa that emphasizes comfort and versatility. Behind it, the clean wall serves as a minimalist canvas, allowing the room’s design accents and personal collectibles to stand out subtly. This renovation cost about $70,000 and completed in 2024.

Design Concept:

This Yishun residence embraces a Scandinavian minimalist aesthetic, blending simplicity, warmth, and functionality. Clean lines, light wood tones, and muted neutral shades create a calm and cohesive atmosphere throughout the home. Every design element is intentional, promoting a clutter-free yet inviting space for modern living.

Kitchen:

The galley kitchen is framed by sleek cabinetry in light wood laminate and seamless integrated handles, maximizing storage while keeping the design clean. Subtle marble-inspired backsplash panels introduce gentle texture, while under-cabinet lighting enhances functionality and warmth. The use of glass partitions maintains visual openness between kitchen and dining, balancing privacy with flow.

Living room:

A built-in illuminated display cabinet provides a refined stage for the homeowner’s cherished collectibles. The warm backlighting not only highlights the items within but also contributes to the ambient glow of the space, lending both character and intimacy. These collectibles — neatly curated and arranged — bring a layer of personal storytelling into the Scandinavian framework, striking a balance between minimalist restraint and meaningful expression.

The dining area continues the theme of understated elegance. A round dining table paired with light wood chairs encourages intimacy and flow. Natural accents, such as a slim vase with a single branch, echo the Scandinavian ethos of bringing nature indoors. The interplay of collectibles, display lighting, and minimalist furnishings results in a space that feels warm, lived-in, and authentic — a true extension of its owners.
